Student Video Competition: Submission Guidelines
Georgia Tech undergraduate and graduate students are invited to submit individual or group videos of 2 minutes or less focused on climate change, challenges, and solutions to be included in the Frontiers in Science: Climate Action Conference to be held on April 18, 2024. We encourage contestants to be creative in their approach to creating videos which can include (but are not limited to): personal narratives, engaging and informative explanations of research (think Hank Green), songs, other create presentations. Videos should be grounded in science and well referenced. Submissions are now due by April 8th, 2024.
Technical requirements: horizontal video 1920x1080 pixels
Prizes: $500 grand prize (prizes awarded as scholarships - deposited in student bursar account)
Scoring criteria:
- Engagement – is the story interesting and compelling?
- Accuracy – is the science and information correct?
- Sourcing/Citations - have you cited scientific sources?
- Aesthetics – is the video well produced (clear audio, well edited, etc.)?
Bonus points for featuring work done at Georgia Tech or by Georgia Tech students or alumni!
