Friends of the Sciences

The Friends of Sciences is your gateway to fun activities, events, and opportunities to get engaged with the College of Sciences. Membership is open to all individuals interested in supporting the College of Sciences. Join to connect with fellow CoS alumni and to get involved with initiatives supporting the College. The group focuses on six main areas of engagement:

Student Careers connects College of Sciences graduates with current students. In collaboration with the College of Sciences Career Education Program, alumni take part in career panels and events, providing insights, mentoring, and job leads. Additionally, this team coordinates with the Georgia Tech Alumni Association to work with job-seeking graduates.

Presenting Science creates informational events featuring distinguished and relevant scientists from the College and around the world.

Awards supports the College in developing and presenting the Distinguished Alumni Awards celebration, honoring outstanding alumni from each of the Schools, the Distinguished Young Scientist Award, and the College of Science Impact Award. Communications keeps alumni of the College of Sciences up to date. Via social media, newsletter, and email, this team highlights current alumni accomplishments and creates spaces to foster networking and collaboration.

Travel Science creates curated trips for Georgia Tech College of Sciences alumni and friends, blending scientific discovery with cultural exploration. These immersive experiences include guided tours of world-renowned scientific sites, expert-led lectures, and opportunities to explore the unique culture, cuisine, and landmarks of the surrounding areas. The 2026 trip will be to the land of fire and ice, Iceland, September 22 – October 1st. For more information, visit the College of Sciences Travel Sciences webpage.
