Austin Hope

Austin Hope is a Human Resources leader at Google, serving as a strategic advisor to senior leadership within Global Security & Resilience Services and the Economics team led by Google’s Chief Economist. He leverages an interdisciplinary foundation in psychology and business to navigate complex organizational challenges, focusing on leadership effectiveness and high-performing cultures.

Prior to his current role, Austin spent seven years as a Senior Executive Compensation Partner at Google, advising the company's senior leadership on talent retention and rewards strategy. He began his career at the global HR consulting firm Mercer, where he consulted for corporate boards of directors and C-suite executives on executive compensation and governance. Throughout his career, Austin has focused on translating the "human element" of the workforce into actionable strategies that drive measurable impact.

Deeply committed to the Georgia Tech community, Austin serves on the College of Sciences Young Alumni Advisory Board. He is also an active member and the current Treasurer of the Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, and Roswell area chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Austin is passionate about mentoring the next generation of leaders, specifically in the areas of career development, financial wellness, and general professional growth.

Austin earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Business concentration from the Georgia Institute of Technology in the Spring of 2014 and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional. He lives in Roswell, Georgia, with his wife, Shari, and their two sons, Austin II (AJ) and August.
