New Seed Grant Funding Opportunity for Assistant Professors

Who: Assistant Professors at Georgia Tech are invited to apply.

What: Two $15,000 seed grant funding opportunities for climate solutions

How: Attend the Frontiers in Science conference on April 18; submit proposal.

When: 2-page seed grant proposals due May 15, 2024.

Share your idea: Following the Frontiers in Science: Climate Action conference on April 18, 2024, all attending Georgia Tech assistant professors will be eligible to submit a 2-page proposal with an idea for a climate solution inspired at the event. The Strategic Energy Institute at Georgia Tech (SEI) and Brook Byers Institute for Sustainable Systems at Georgia Tech (BBISS) are funding this challenge with 2 grants of $15,000 each. 

Each proposal should:

  1. Describe the idea and plan for its execution.
  2. Include names and titles of proposal participants.
    Preference will be given to proposals with cross-unit participation.
  3. Detail how the funds will be spent.
  4. Be sent to dean@cos.gatech.edu by May 15, 2024, with subject line: SEI PROPOSAL

A selection committee of SEI, BBISS, and CoS members will notify grant recipients by early June.
